BIONOVA PH LIQUID PH ADJUSTER - UP AND DOWN
Bionova pH- is a 24.5% phosphoric acid solution. This product is used to adjust the pH of a nutrient solution downwards. It is crucial to manage pH values of the water/ nutrient solution you feed to the plant. Plants only absorb all nutrients when applied in the correct pH value. When your pH is too low or too high, plants won’t be able to uptake all nutrients.
Although most plants will grow within a wide pH range, 3.5 to 8.0, for many years the suggested range of pH values for growth of good quality foliage plants Is 5.5 to 6.5. This recommendation originated back when most ornamental plants were grown in mineral or organic soils or soil-containing mixtures.
The key to pH is that it is going to influence the key nutrients available to plants – nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium – and other nutrients like calcium and boron. When pH is in the right range, it makes it easier for the plants to uptake the
nutrients they need.
TIPS FROM BIONOVA GROWERS:
- By using phosphoric acid to reduce the water pH value we are also adding available Phosphorus (P) to the nutrient solution. It means that we are modifying the water pH and feeding our plants at the same time.
- In case of a high needs for pH- consider reducing your PK booster dose by 10-15%.
- pH- works really well to reduce residue. Consider using pH- when cleaning drip line systems, grow tables, nutrient tanks, pots etc.
When should I use pH-?:
Bionova pH- may be used from week 1 of veg until one week before harvest. Flushing is mandatory. pH- is compatible with all Bionova products. This product can be used in irrigation.
Recommended Dosage:
Application in Irrigation: 1-1.5 ml per gallon. Adjust as needed.
Bionova pH+ is a 24.5% potassium hydroxide solution. This product is used to adjust the pH of a nutrient solution upwards.
